I was looking for an in person tutor to help my daughter with her college level ASL course. Because we were struggling to find somebody in person I reached out to Lingual Muse. Joe placed us with Derek and I’ve watched my daughter who is completely stressed out turn into a more confident student! Derek is animated and fun and bright. I’m so glad I found this wonderful company. Derek is a great ASL instructor and I know everybody that turns to him for help will have the same success as my daughter Anna. My language learning journey with LingualMuse has not only been fruitful, but enjoyable! I found them on Thumbtack and I was impressed by Caroline’s resume who used to teach foreign languages to government officials with the State Department! She offers Zoom lessons for students worldwide. Caroline’s approach with teaching begins with carefully gauging students’ learning styles (visual, auditory, etc.) and then tailoring her teaching style accordingly. She then builds a solid foundation of language basics which allows for more effective retention as students progress. Caroline is also very friendly, patient, and flexible when it comes to scheduling. She also makes an effort to connect with her students on a personal level and fosters a relaxed learning environment! My lessons with her have resonated more than any language app I’ve ever tried. Caroline’s husband Joe is the company’s administrator and is also friendly and easy to work with. He is very flexible with payment plans and will work with students to build a plan that is both affordable and manageable! I could not ask for a better organization that I can depend on for learning a new language, and they have over a dozen other instructors who teach many other languages to choose from. I highly recommend LingualMuse to anyone around the world who wishes to learn a new language!

My husband and I are finally moving to France at the end of May! I can’t thank y’all enough as I don’t think I would have had the confidence to make this happen if I didn’t feel competent in the language. After speaking with several Language companies to find a tutor for my wife and I in our quest to learn Spanish, we chose Lingual Muse. The program itself sounded like it would lend itself to the type of lessons we were looking for to learn together as a pair. After speaking with Joe G. the owner of the company I felt he really asked the right kind of questions in order to align us with a teacher to compliment our learning levels and needs. We started our lessons in February with Angelica M. (nuestra profesora) twice a week in the evenings for an hour and a half. Angelica is amazing! Not only is she such a nice relatable person, her teaching style is very conducive to learning a second language for two people who have been out of school for a while. Although my wife and I both have graduate degrees I feel learning a second language has been challenging as we both learn at different rates, but I feel Angelica’s teaching style has lent itself to us keeping at the same pace and complimenting each others skill level. We can’t say enough about Angelica as she is very good at explaining the fundamentals and the rules while making it fun and stress free. Angelica is very good at anticipating what lessons and next steps we are ready for, especially with two working people learning part time in the evenings. We are painting “thin layers” she says and I believe it is working. We are retaining more Spanish through her tutoring than any previous attempts with other teachers.
