I have been learning Krav Maga at Empire since 2 years. The experience has been very good so far. Alan is knowledgeable and focuses on the minor aspects of the training. He's disciplined and expects the same from every student which is what I like. A great way to burn your fat, gain strength and confidence and flush out all your day's stress.

I have been coming to Empire for over 2 years and it was one of the best decisions I've made. Alan and family run a functional (and clean!) facility with a wonderful atmosphere, that offers a variety of options from fitness to self defense to martial arts (and ninja skill training!). Alan and Kevin are knowledgeable and patient instructors and make everyone feel welcome.

It is pretty well known that Empire offers the best training around - whether it is in Krav Maga, Muay Thai, Ju Jitsu or kickboxing. There is one other thing to consider before you commit to training anywhere - and that is the quality and cleanliness of the equipment. They have the best stuff at Empire AND unlike any other gym, facility or dojo, each and every piece of equipment: kicking pads, hand pads, whatever, are wiped down with disinfectant after each class. No one does that but Empire. The mats and floors are clean and the restrooms and changing rooms are clean as any hospital. This doesn’t mean that there are no Blood, Sweat and maybe Tears here, there are, but Empire offers the highest level of training as well as a safe, clean, healthy environment. I have been training here for a while, and to me this is what a twenty-first century martial arts facility should be.

I can’t say enough about my experience at Empire and how it has changed my life in such a positive way. Not just physically but also mentally. Alan’s knowledge is second to none and he knows how to help you push yourself to hit that next level.

I truly thought hard about which of the 5 categories above that I could give less than 5 stars to because, I never give a perfect score. But, Empire is different. Alan is highly knowledgeable and passionate about teaching Krav Maga and overall fitness at an extremely high level. My experience at Empire has positively changed my physical and mental well-being. If I miss class for a week, my body craves the burn, and my brain misses the discipline, that Alan and Kevin both put me and my friends at Empire through. I travel 35 miles (one way) for class because there's nothing else like Empire Fitness anywhere.

My time and training with Empire is invaluable to me. As a student in the Muay Thai program, I have been invested in by staff and fellow students alike- my success feels like a priority to everyone around me. The facilities and instruction are second to none and thoughtfully handled. Alan and Cheryl manage a great business and take the measures to maintain a great environment for all of us- it feels like a family. I feel more confident and capable in my body than I ever have from the strength I've built and progress I've made- it really is the best part of my day. I can see my involvement here for many years to come.

I joined two years ago and it’s become nothing short of the best thing I do all week. Classes are engaging, you work up a sweat, but most of all it’s fun. The empire family is the best family.
