Dr. Swegal treats patients with head and neck cancer, salivary gland disease, thyroid disease, sleep apnea, and head and neck tumors. He maintains a clinical interest in these conditions, as well as xerostomia research.
He is experienced in transoral robotic surgery, hypoglossal nerve stimulator, endoscopic sinus surgery, and sialoendoscopy. He received the Wayne State School of Medicine Excellence in Teaching Award for 2018 and was the Henry Ford Hospital Outstanding Resident Award Nominee that same year. He speaks English.
