Founded in 2002, Volterra originally manufactured and distributed specialty stucco and plaster products, along with a line of cast stone resin accent products. In 2003 they recognized and capitalized on the demand for decorative, high density polyurethane foam (HDF) building products such as faux-wood beams and planks, corbels, truss tails and shutters, tile accents and exterior details. Flexible urethane moulding was also an integral part of the product line, as Volterra was, and still is, the only manufacturer in the Southwest region producing custom radius moulding for the woodworking industry. Faux wood beams and trusses soon became the signature product line for Volterra and they became the leading U.S. manufacturer for many online distributors.
In 2011, Volterra expanded the scope of business to include the production of natural hardwood moulding with the acquisition of a leading Arizona moulding and millwork manufacturing company. Now, selling an extensive line of hardwood moulding and trim products with radius moulding to match, Volterra is a one-stop shop for the woodworking industry.
Volterra has always distributed a comprehensive line of plaster, stucco and faux finish products. In 2015 the company launched its own acrylic finish product, Tivoli Stucco, manufactured at the Phoenix Arizona plant. The product which offers superior coverage and speadability, was developed by company personnel who bring a combined 45 years experience in stucco production and distribution.
