Dr. Varese attended medical school at the Medical School of the Autonomous University at Guadalajara, Mexico. She graduated in 1979 and completed her 4 years of internship and residency at New York Beekman Hospital in New York City. Since 1984 she has conducted her medical practice in Acton, Massachusetts, offering integrated services including nutrition, herbology, homeopathy, and flower essences with special emphasis on optimizing hormonal, digestive and immune functions through the most natural means possible and with minimal use of pharmaceuticals.
In 1989 Dr. Varese began to incorporate hands-on healing modalities into her medical practice. She began with Reiki for which she acquired Third Degree Mastery. A variety of direct-healing modalities were added to and combined with her use of Reiki each year until 1992 when she experienced Jin Shin Jyutsu. In 1993, the doctor attended three 5-day intensive Jin Shin Jyutsu courses, acquiring practitioner accreditation in a brief period of time. Repeat and specialized courses have been attended and added to her experience since that year. From then to the present day Jin Shin Jyutsu remains a vital part of Dr. Varese’s daily practice.

Dr. Varese has always utilized a comprehensive assessment of the major body systems along with diet and lifestyle evaluation in order to coordinate traditional and non-traditional resources to design each patient's plan for optimal function.
