If I could give this place zero stars I would. Vet check only wants money from people who are worried about their pets. We took our dog in due to a decrease in appetite, vomiting and passing out. Once there the vet took our dog and was back within 1-3 minutes and said it looks like they’re dehydrated and they need to run an X-ray and blood work to see what is wrong. We stated that we would like to do bloodwork first due to narrowing down the cause and their prices being ridiculous. They come back and state that they have pancreatitis. A classic vet check diagnosis now that we’ve come to do our research on this establishment. We were never asked out an X-ray again. We were told they needed around $900 worth of medication on top of food and hydration provided by them that was an additional $200. We declined many of those outrageous things and took our dog to the vet a few days later due to not getting better. Once there we explained everything to our vet, showed them the blood work and the medication we were giving them and he shook his head and said this is a joke. We soon found out our dog had cancer and nothing at all to do with pancreatitis. But had the vets at vet check done their job instead of trying to get their money and us out of there on a Saturday evening they would have aight this for us sooner. And for this they are the worst facility on earth who are taking advantage of people who are vulnerable. Never take your pets here.

Beware of coming to this place for pet services. I have never experienced extreme price gouging and the sense of taking advantage of someone's emotions regarding their pet. 9 moths ago they were great, but the male Vet Dr we saw with today was all about making as much money as possible. Brought our dog in after a minor scuffle with a squirrel and had a chunk the size of a dime taken out of his side. After evaluating him he suggested blood work, anesthesia, antibiotics and a couple stitches. The tech comes in and gives us a quote of over $1000. I was a bit shocked as 9 months ago they put 18 staples with anesthesia in him after he chewed out his stitches for $350. Declined and asked they only clean it and give a couple days of pain meds as I would take him to see our vet the next day. They clean it up and the tech brings him out and tells us the Dr said he was fine and probably doesn't even need to go to the vet for additional care, the wound will heal on its own. seriously shop around before stepping in this place unless you are OK with being taken advantage while you are in a weak state dealing with issues of your animal. We paid $190 for the cleaning and 4 pain pills. I highly suggest Dr Dallas at West 56th street vet at 4410 W 56th street, # 317-297-0345. The next day she put in 2 stitches, no anesthesia and a bottle of antibiotics for $80. Clearly I will never return to this VetCheck. Check out reviews on Yelp for the same type of review.

The staff is rude, they don't explain everything do expensive tests and overcharge for medicine. They knew my dog was dying but said he had an infection. The next day the Dr told me my dog was done and I needed to leave him there so they could kill him... NOPE. Don't take your pet there.

The care we received for our cat was good abs the staff were friendly, but we were vastly overcharged for the services provided. For example, we were charged $86.40 for a prescription of Clovomax, a common antibiotic that can be purchased for about $29 through pet retailers for the same quantity. https://www.petsmart.com/pharmacy/cat/antibiotics/clavamox-oral-drops-62.5-mg%2Fml-15-ml-66930.html . We were also charged $25 for a prescription of Prezosin, which retails at $4.50 for the same quantity. This was not helped by the way service options and costs were presented, where we were only told the total cost, rather being informed of the costs for services so that we could make an informed decision. I expect an up charge for urgent care services, but a 300-500% markup on medications is ridiculous. Over all, we were charged nearly $900 for the diagnosis and treatment of a urinary tract infection
