In 1976 we dreamed of starting a neighborhood restaurant that served New York style pizza and pasta dishes as we wanted to bring a bit of the authentic East Coast taste we missed here to Phoenix. The vision of serving great tasting food and being the neighborhood gathering spot helped us create our family business, "Streets of New York". Whether you are at home with friends, ordering a delivery, picking up on your way home from work or dining in one of our stores, our goal is to be your favorite local pizza restaurant.
New York Style Pizza York-style pizza is made from our fresh yeast dough recipe. The pizza dough is always handcrafted and never frozen. New York-style pizza is hand tossed, giving it that perfectly rolled edge crust and solid base. Spin it little too much, and you create a hole, spin it just right, and you have the perfect balance of thin and crispy. No matter thick or thin, New York style pizza has a particular flavor that is delectable to the most discerning pallet. Most often the tomatoes we use to create the sauce are imported from Italy. We only use tomatoes grown from volcanic soil in Naples Italy to make our special recipe sauce.
The New Times has recognized streets of New York as having the "Best Pizza in Phoenix" for several years. We have also been named "Best Pizza in Phoenix" by AZCentral.com. Some of the best recognition comes from our first-time visitors, long-standing guests, multi-generation "Streets" loving families and our employees, all who come in to dine, order take-out or have us bring them a delivery.
