Dr. Koenigsberg graduated the University of Miami with a degree in Chemistry. He went on to medical school at the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco, and then completed his surgical residency in foot and ankle surgery.
He has been on staff at El Camino Hospital in Mountain View, since he entered into private practice, serving four times as chief of the department of Podiatry, and serving on many committees at the hospital and surgery center to ensure quality medical care for our community.
Dr. Koenigsberg has been in private practice in Sunnyvale for 40 years. He created the Remington Podiatry Group in order to provide a diverse single specialty group of experts in the treatment of the foot and ankle.
Despite having a specialty in foot and ankle surgery there are many conservative types of treatment that he utilizes in pracitce. Dr. Koenigsberg has been an active athlete; as a runner, alpine and nordic skier, and has participated in may types of other single and team sports. He brings his knowledge of sports medicine into play in the office treating many types of athletic injuries. He has a large pediatric practice, and sees all types of injuries and afflictions of the foot and ankle in children.
In addition, Dr. Koenigsberg is a Qualified Medical Evaluator for the State of California and treats workers compensation injuries, also doing evaluations of any conflicts that arise within the occupational medical arena concerning patients with work related injuries.
He has been active in his community and has particpated in many health fairs, lectured to medical and lay groups about common foot injuries and diseases, and has taken an active role in promoting good medical care in Santa Clara County.
