I took a Leipo’o (head wreath) making class with Poerava and I have to say I was blown away with how awesome this experience was! I have never made a Leipo’o before and was so impressed with how it turned out, I know the only reason it came out so beautiful was the result of a great teacher.
Poerava is such a knowledgeable and friendly person, she is very sweet, kind hearted and makes you feel like family. The food was amazing, and by far had one of the best days in years! It was definitely a memory for the books. If you take one of her classes you will not be disappointed and guaranteed you’ll leave with knowledge of Hawaiian culture, tradition, and aloha spirit. My leipo’o lasted for almost a week after making it and I I still have it hanging up, because it’s so beautiful and the time in her class was so special to me.
Everyone wore a mask and the safety and cleanliness was over 100% .The entire experience is now a great memory for the books!
