Dr. Crapanzano earned his medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans in 1992. He then completed a one-year internal medicine internship and subsequent psychiatry residency at The Alton Ochsner Medical Foundation in New Orleans. During his final year of residency in 1995–96, he served as chief resident in the Department of Psychiatry.
