If I could give no stars I would. I am very disheartened as I write this review. As a first time home buyer & not having my home for a year yet, I was excited to put my personal touch on my home with a paint job. This opportunity came at an exciting time in my life as I am also pregnant with my first child. But Paint Work Ahead has made this a horrible & haunting memory that I am still dealing with til this day. Initially I was not going to leave a review & told them I wouldn’t as they gave me a full refund & reimbursed me for a damaged table that’s not even 6 months old. Essentially they came in & did a horrible job, to the point where you had to second guess if my home was even painted, in fact they left it worst than how I gave it to them. Paint residue everywhere, including paint droppings on essentially new floors. Frankly, I think they got off as easy as I just paid nearly $600 to have my carpet & floors cleaned, I had to pay another painter to come in & correct the job they did in addition to the cleanup I am left with. There are several jackets & military uniforms that now need to be taken to the cleaners & my entire wardrobe needs to be re-washed. Not to mention the time my friends have committed to me in wiping down cabinets & light fixtures, it has been a true nightmare. B/c of the residue I have had two allergic reactions & have not stayed in my home in over two weeks, I can’t wait until I get the residue from everywhere. I was just quoted another $190 to clean my living room couch & the headboard of guest bed in another bedroom. I settled with them outside of court b/c the stress was too much in my condition, but now I wish I had not agreed to the settlement & just went to court. In addition to me not requiring them to pay for the couple of $100’s worth of groceries that went bad b/c they forgot to plug my refrigerator back in. Furthermore they did not put all of my furniture back as discussed & I had to fight with them to do that. Initially Samantha stood by the work they had done & told me they would not come back & they had spent enough time. They will argue the work was not completed up to par due to working conditions b/c the first two days my ac was not working properly, which turned out to be a user error on my end (forgot to remove the winter AC unit cover), but Samantha did not bring it to my attention until 48 hours into the job & as I told her she should have paused the job had she known this would affect the outcome of the paint job, she is the professional not I. After escalating to upper management, who over the phone wanted to settle for not even a quarter of what I paid them, once he came out to “fix” the issue, w/ out dispute he asked me what I wanted, when I said for them to do the job completely over he said I should get another painter. He reimbursed me with no push back, further confirming my perspective to be correct. To add insult to injury not once did they apologize for the lack of professionalism in their work & for messing up my home. I can’t post enough pics to do my review justice it was my entire home inside & out (paint on the lawn, bushes & concrete leading up to my home, my neighbors even complained) even paint residue on my plants & magnets on the refridgerator, they broke the foundation of my bad (then fixed themselves upon settlement); thanks Paint Work Ahead for turning my sweet dream into an ugly nightmare, I would not recommend them to anyone, as far as I am concerned they are frauds.
