We spent almost $18,000 on a new HVAC unit just a few months ago. All summer long-our home has been hot. We’ve had to have the company out four times. Each time they say the unit has been fixed, but just a few days later our home will be close to 80 degrees again.
This is the hottest week of the year so far. Someone came out today and said our unit needs a new part; best case, they said they’d have it fixed by Monday. But it could be longer-with no timeline given. So we’ve spent almost $20,000 to sit in an 80 degree home all weekend.
The company has been nice and comes out quickly. But I can’t imagine anyone being o.k. spending this kind of money-only to have your home be nearly unlivable. I don’t understand how there could be this many issues with a brand new unit, or why we’ve had to have the company out four times in just a few months. Yet our unit still isn’t repaired. Due to all these issues, I would advise anyone to choose a different company before making such a large and important investment in your home.
