Monique Olivares, PA-C, is a board-certified physician associate specializing in medical and cosmetic dermatology. Monique believes medicine is a science and an art, a dualism that drives her passion for dermatology and led to the creation of her brand MODermNYC. Monique practices at Schweiger Dermatology Group in New York City’s Midtown East neighborhood, where she sees children and adults of all ages.
Monique takes pride in providing the best care for many dermatologic conditions ranging from acne, psoriasis, and eczema to complex autoimmune disorders and skin cancers. In a relaxed and warm environment, the unique needs of an individual are assessed, and an equally unique treatment plan is tailored. Monique’s prowess at cosmetic medicine, including injectables such as Botox, dermal fillers, Sculptra, and Bellafill, and her expertise in laser and body contouring therapies result in a youthful and natural appearance which has kept her clientele happy for years.
In addition to seeing patients, Monique has been recognized for her extraordinary commitment to dermatology and academia. She is the first physician assistant to direct and teach a fellowship program using her experience to educate future dermatology practitioners. Also, she continues to contribute medical research studies in the areas of best aesthetic and medical practices.
Monique was awarded her undergraduate degree from Boston College in Massachusetts. She pursued her pre-medical training at Columbia University’s Post-Bacc PreMed program in New York City. Monique completed her medical education at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and received honors in academics and community service.
She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, a Fellow of the American Association of Surgical Physician Assistants, a Diplomate of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, and the Associate Director of Dermatologic Education at Center Aesthetic and Dermatology.
