Megami Dojo offers martial arts classes, private martial arts lessons, and group self defense seminars in Queens, NYC (Long Island City). We emphasize tried-and-true combat principles and techniques for self defense through the lens of traditional martial arts Isshinryu Karate, Hindiandi Gung Fu, and Escrima. Megami Dojo is the only martial arts school in Western Queens offering instruction exclusively in real world self defense (as opposed to competition).
Megami Dojo differs from other martial arts schools in Queens in that we treat every workout as if our lives may one day depend on our training. Moreover, we preserve effective traditional training methods while continually experimenting to maintain effectiveness in the modern world. In other words, we do not subscribe to a dogmatic mindset about styles or techniques in the martial arts.
