I currently live in one of Madera Residential properties. I am 5-months pregnant and moved into these apartments about a month ago. Since we arrive, the house has been filled with secondhand marijuana smoke. The house ALWAYS smells like weed, but as soon as people start smoking, it pours in and makes me sick. I am unable to stay in my own home. Secondhand smoke is dangerous in its own right, but is life-threatening for my unborn child. We have asked the apartment managers repeatedly to help. The answer is always the same; there is nothing we can do about it. SMOKING IS NOT PERMITTED INSIDE THESE APARTMENT HOMES. So, why can't they do anything??? If anything happens to my baby, I will sue!!!
