Service is the word that comes to mind when I think of what is most important to me. It has been my honor to serve patients in my office since 1994. Chiropractic is more to me than just straightening spines. It is about assisting our patients in achieving a better quality of life through optimal nervous system function.
To me it is also important to serve your profession no matter what profession that might be. I have served on the board for our state chiropractic association for 5 years. I continue to serve on several committees that help to ensure that chiropractic care will be available to the people of Michigan far into the future.
I think it is a blessing for anyone to receive recognition for the work they do. I have been humbled to receive several awards from the Michigan Chiropractic Society including Chiropractor of the Year as well as the Presidential Leadership Award.
One of my greatest joys is serving as an extension faculty member of Palmer University. This gives me the opportunity to assist students in their final year of Chiropractic College prepare to enter the health delivery system. It is important that physicians realize the great responsibility that we have placed upon us as our patients allow us to participate in the most valuable aspect of their lives….. their health.
