I am a retired Not for Profit executive with over two decades of international business experience and hundreds of thousands of global travel miles under my belt. What looked like a life of glamour on the outside, was entirely unfulfilling on the inside.
I’ve spent a lifetime drawn to all things furry and four legged and imagining (during long business trips!) how I can turn my passion for animals into a career. I am also an amateur Dressage equestrian, hold a graduate certificate in Animal Studies and am certified in Pet CPR and First Aid.
During my career, I struggled to find quality pet care while I was traveling. I’ve experienced dog walkers who didn’t show up as promised and boarding in private homes where my dog was confined to a crate most of their stay. Finding pet care for my sweet pup was a constant worry. I was desperate for quality pet care and after leaving my full-time job, I knew I wanted to create a business that other pet owners could rely on.
In 2013, my husband and I took an opportunity to move from New York to the south shore of Massachusetts. At the same time, I retired from the career I’d known for 23 years and began planning the launch of Heidi’s Hounds!
I am dedicated to providing my clients with the peace of mind pet care that I could never find for myself. Safe, trustworthy, personalized care so you can go away guilt free knowing your pet is in dependable and loving hands.
