EcoShield Pest Control

I had an extremely disappointing experience with EcoShield pest control company. They misrepresented the terms of the contract and then asked me to pay a cancellation fee, which was never mentioned to me. This is an unscrupulous business practice and I feel completely taken advantage of. Six month later, I decided to cancel the service as I was unsatisfied with their performance. When I called EcoShield to cancel, they informed me that I would have to pay a cancellation fee. I was shocked and dismayed, as this had never been discussed with me before. Overall, I would not recommend EcoShield to anyone. Their business practices are deceptive and unethical. If you're looking for a pest control company, I suggest you look elsewhere.

Stupid sales guy went and rang the doorbell of our house that has 3 no soliciting signs. He said he doesn’t have time to read signs and refused to give his name

Do NOT use this company… They came and performed 1 service! Did not show for the second or the third “re-scheduled” service from not showing up for the second service, but still charged me. Now they are saying they did come and can see it on the GPS but are stating this after telling me that they accidentally serviced the wrong house for my second service. I was home that entire day waiting for them to show and my cameras prove they did not come as well. They Can’t keep their stories straight and are refusing to cancel my service unless I pay $150 after they STOLE $180 from me on my second service that was never performed. Please RUN!!!!!!! If you’re also a victim of this fraud, please know you can take legal action. The Fair Credit Billing Act — a federal law passed in 1975 — gives you the right to dispute charges in case you are dissatisfied with the transaction through a process called Claims and Defenses.

Do NOT use this company. I recently moved to Houston and this company solicited to me the day after I moved in. Seemed nice and like it would be a good deal. Nope. First, the pushy salesboy told me that as part of the deal, they would come one month after the initial service FREE OF CHARGE to make sure all pests and eggs were exterminated. They didn't do that and instead had me pay full price again. So for the month of August and September I paid $270 with all the bugs still around. Second, when I called to cancel because there were still pests in and around my home AND I was charged again, they informed me that I would have to pay hundreds of dollars in order to cancel because of the "deal" I signed up for. They expect me to pay them ALL THE SAVINGS that I supposedly saved before I can end the service. Needless to say, terrible company and terrible service. Do not use this company unless you would like to pay money to keep the pests in and around your house or give them even more money to let you cancel. Don't fall victim to this predatory company.

Honestly, I have no idea what "service" these guys performed. After they finished with their over-hyped "all natural" treatment, I was $169 poorer, and our ant, spider, and hornet population was at an all-time high. We called to stop service (since our salesperson told us we could cancel at any time if we weren't satisfied), and we were told we'd committed to a two-year deal and we COULD NOT get out of it, no matter how bad things got. These guys are snake-oil salesmen. Don't waste your money. I wish we hadn't.

Do not be fooled by their great marketing speeches. This is the worst company, service and product we have ever used for pest control services. They talk THE BEST talk. They performed service at our house in Alexandria yesterday and left the flyer that they had been there and checked the boxes of services that they supposedly performed and many were not. They do not have any office hours on the weekend and are non-responsive during the week. This has happened 3 times!! Do not even consider using them.
