Believing that the rains were finally behind us, I took my vehicle to Ducky's Car Wash in San Ramon. I checked in around 10:40 a.m. on 6/1/23. It only took 15-20 minutes for my car to be finished.
The car wash, interior vacuum, dash wipe and windows were okay but not great. At home I used a few paper towels to wipe up missed areas and smudges. Not horrible but could be better.
Disappointingly, I did find $8 dollars stolen from my center console compartment. The cash was on top of the items inside and it was obvious to me that stuff had been jostled around. Have no clue when it happened but I suspect it was during the vacuuming. I had walked away and the car was out of my sight until it emerged from the car wash tunnel. I had my eyes on my car while it was being wiped up.
The lesson learned? Leave cash and any valuables at home before taking your car - at least to this car wash. I'm sure most of the employees are honest but at least one is not.
