Dr. David Navid is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon, specializing in sports medicine, arthroscopic surgery, joint replacement and treatment of foot and ankle disorders. He also has experience in trauma surgery and specifically focuses on lower extremities. The son of two school teachers, Dr. Navid grew up in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. He developed osteomyolitis (infection of the bone) at a very early age and was inspired by the surgeon who saved his leg. He committed his life to doing the same for others. He graduated with honors from the University of North Texas Health Science Center and completed his internship and residency at Botsford General Hospital, a Michigan State University affiliate, in Farmington Hills, MI. He completed his fellowship at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, MD under world renowned surgeon, Dr. Mark Myerson. He is certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery (AOBOS), is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS), and American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society. Dr. Navid has worked to create a practice that delivers an exceptional level of expertise in treating both common and rare lower extremity injuries and conditions. From student athletes to elite professionals to infants and elderly patients, Dr. Navid is leading the way in treating aliments affecting muscles, bones and joints, sports injuries, degenerative diseases, tumors, infections, trauma deformities and limb salvage. Away from the surgical table, Dr. Navid and his beautiful wife, Holly, have been married for 20 years and have 3 children, Daniel, Sarah, and Hannah. He is a very active family man at Northland Christian School and is an avid outdoorsman, hunter, and golfer.
