I don't typically write public negative reviews, but this was an appointment that was handled poorly from beginning to end, along with two call backs regarding the poor patient care. I had my follow up appt with Dr. Fu, I had a vitreous detachment a couple years ago and I follow up with Dr. Fu a couple times a year. I was scheduled for a routine follow up appt and I had an eye concern to talk about at this appt, I checked in 10 minutes prior to my appt time and waited with a packed waiting room which is not unusual, but this particular day my wait time was well over 2 and a half hours, I finally was called back into a room, my wait time in there was much quicker, Dr. Fu walked in 5 minutes later. Dr. Fu started her exam, conversation was very limited, I did share a new concern I had with my right eye, she was finished with the eye exam and quickly said, "everything looks good, see you in a year" I asked about the concern I am having with my right eye, she said, "I have no idea, see you in a year" as her back was to me the entire time completing notes in my chart. My total time with her in the room was no more then 4 minutes. The following day I reached out to Cascade Eye and Skin, tried to talk with someone about this appt and how it was handled, I could not talk with anyone live, I was always transferred to a voicemail, I left a very detailed voicemail asking for a call to be returned, I did not receive a call back, so four days later I called back, this time I talked to somebody, I did not get her name, she tried to defend the actions of the Dr, as she was over booked that day, and tried to explain her thoughts on what was going on with my eye issue I was having, that phone call ended, I received another call about 5 days later from the initial voicemail I had left, not sure who this gal was, she was unaware of the conversation I had already had, this gal was extremely rude, she agreed that Dr. Fu's bedside manners were not the best, she dismissed any of my concerns, and basically told me I was to sensitive. Growing more frustrated with this whole situation, I called the billing office, I did not think that I should pay over $200.00 for this office visit and I was told that was my bill to pay, regardless of the handling of my appt. I have worked in the medical field for over 25 years, I know a Dr schedule is set by the Dr. they say how many pts they want booked on their schedules, waiting just about 3 hours to be seen and and then only getting 4 minutes of the Dr.s time is inexcusable. This is a Dr who is looking at her patients as a dollar sign and not a Dr, taking care of the needs of her patients. This exam was in March, I had hoped for a better outcome following this appt by now. Do yourself a favor and find another provider for the care of your eyes, you deserve better care then you will receive from Dr Fu. Found it pretty sad that the talk around the waiting room is, you know that you have been waiting over two hours if the juice and cookie trey comes around to server you!
