We closed on our brand new $700K home in the Estates at Autumn Oaks on April 1st. We did have a 3rd party inspection before closing. Problems we have had so far. . .
-On our 3rd night in the home, the downstairs powder room bath toilet spontaneously overflowed and flooded the bathroom and poured into the basement due to a main sewer line backup. I was in the middle of a shower and had to jump out and run down stairs in a towel with shampoo still in my hair to help my husband mop up the mess, both of us ending up covered in sewer water.
-The master bath and upstairs guest bath toilets both leaked sewage air and water at the bases
-The driveway is sinking in a portion of it, several other spots are coming up in pieces and we were told we need to drive on it differently (what?)
-The ceiling in the master bathroom cracked and 2 attempts were made by McNaughton employee to repair it before we were told someone stepped on a support structure during construction and it was never fixed. This finally got fixed last week.
-The kitchen island stone was not installed properly, the wrong glue compound was used initially and fell off and had to be redone
-They left tile in the hvac vents which my husband vacuumed out
-Two of the upper kitchen cabinets can’t open because they are blocked by the window trim
-Currently our master shower has been out of use for 2 weeks because it leaked. The tile has been removed and the several floor tiles as well, no eta on when the repair will be done.
-The picture window in our master bath leaked during the last rain
