If you get personal training, this can happen to you. I got a trial session, and the rep told me it would be a 1-time fee. I asked if further charges would be charged she said no. The session went great after I was informed that future sessions would have a 3-month commitment and that if I wanted to continue, it would cost $500+ per month. I told the pt that I wasn't interested. Super chill guy. He understood.
However, here is where the gym takes your money. Ever since then, I have been charged $50 randomly every month. When I asked why no one knew they will tell you to message Edwin, who runs the gym. I did but he never replied. After sometime he did he informed me he would look into these charges and refund me. He never did. After some time, he will avoid your emails and calls. If you are like me, you will get charged randomly $50 a month for no reason. He has avoided my emails for months. My calls have also been avoided. I even called once, and a rep told me he was going to lunch while on the phone! However, I was informed by the rep that I would get a full refund and 3 months comp. He never did any of that. I was one of the first people to support the gym when it first opened when it was a tiny room on the side. When I tell you this gym will take your money, and like the reviews below say they will and not answer you back. It's all true.
Parking
Parking is below the building, and you pay one yearly fee. It's worth it because parking can be hard to find.
Gym
The gym by itself is nice. The equipment is maintained, and just like any other gym, busy times are usually around 5ish. It's a cheeper option than other gyms however they do not have a sauna or a basketball court or any type of pool.
Members need to check
That while the gym closed down due to Covid. Some members, like myself, got charged a yearly fee. There was no refund, but you can complain to the bank. Depending on your bank, you can get a refund. By the way, crunch never informed us of this charge, and most don't even know you were charged a yearly fee when the gym was not even open.
Other options
In 2023 a brand new golds gym will open down the street with free 2-hour parking and extra amenities, including a sauna, new gym equipment etc. Check that out before you check this one.
Overall
While from 2022 until 2023, until when the new Golds gym opens, this gym is worth it but Management is bad. The main person avoids calls and emails on purpose. I would avoid personal training just for this reason. There's no point in randomly getting charged and having no way to get your money back. Also to the person who replies to reviews, I have screenshots of all of this. In the future I can see this place being sued. Gym members respect the equipment and the staff but in return they will not give you the same respect. If you must use this gym use it. It's a good temporary option until 2023. As of today $200 have been charged and not one person can explain why. Current crunch Members this could be also you in the future
