I initially brought my car in for an error message and was told I needed to replace 2 struts. I had Extended Warranty through TriCare and the service advisor spoke with them to get approval before the work commenced. The total invoice was $2142.24 and the service advisor told me my portion would be approximately $400 and the remaining balance would be covered by TriCare. I paid $416.80 once the work was completed and took my vehicle. A week later the dealership called me and informed me they were having trouble depositing the cheque from TriCare, and asked if I could pay the whole invoice and have the warranty company reimburse me personally. I requested an email stating that I would be reimbursed if for any reason payment from TriCare was not reimbursed. Once I received the email from the service advisor, I reluctantly paid the remaining amount $1725.44 ($2142.44 total). The cheque I received from TriCare was $1725.44 CAD which equates to approximately $1250 USD leaving me short roughly $460 USD. I spoke to the service advisor and service manager and I was informed that they will not reimburse me the difference. I should only have to pay the $416.80 that was originally quoted to me and agreed upon, now I am paying more than double that amount. This is completely unacceptable as I have to pay for the service department not doing their due diligence and especially since I have an email from them stating I would be reimbursed if TriCare did not reimburse me. Truly disappointed and I do not recommend Lincoln South Coast for service.
