We had a horrible experience working with Christopher Anderson, CPA and do not recommend him.
Christopher Anderson, CPA is unresponsive, uncommunicative, unprofessional, and doesn’t do the job properly. He took advantage of trusting clients (we weren’t the only ones to have this experience), costing us time, money, and price-gouging to add insult to injury.
Christopher Anderson, CPA promised our taxes would be completed before the April deadline, but then he filed an extension without informing us. He assured us he had reviewed our paperwork we were owed a refund. This turned out to not be true and cost us dearly in penalties.
We were patient and naïve. Over 6 months, we left countless messages (via phone, email, and text) to either be told that they were "missed" or simply ignored. Requests for calls receive a text message with excuses that he has no cell service or is too busy, if at all.
Each month, I emailed and asked for an estimated date of completion. Christopher either ignored it or said to check back in another month. We received out-of-office responses in July and August noting that he was on vacation. After that, we received a general email apologizing to all clients for the delays that included a job posting and encouraged us to spread the word for him.
I insisted on a call and agreed to work with him only because he insisted that he’d already completed the bulk of the work and we’d be able to sign that week. Then, radio silence again.
Christopher had strung us along for so months already, so I used all forms of communication and insisted he return our taxes that week or we would go to another CPA. He complained that we were unreasonable, but he would complete the task.
Finally, he sent us our taxes and it turned out to be THE HIGHEST TAX BILL OF OUR LIVES, we owed significant penalties, and his invoice was an outrageously high.
When I noticed errors and requested a phone call to remedy them, he said he would not be accepting any. We were too close to the deadline, so we went to another CPA who turned around our taxes in 1 week. He said that Christopher had skipped MANY eligible deductions which we were entitled to, saved us thousands of dollars, AND charged well under half of Christopher’s rate.
Save your money, avoid the disaster, and go elsewhere.
