Dr. Ascher-Walsh and his team are outstanding healthcare professionals. I highly recommend them. I had a critical situation with excessive vaginal bleeding. Dr.Oner at Mt.Sinai and resident, Dr.Holtzman were able to get me on the right dosage of progesterone in order to finally mitigate the bleeding. Both pelvic ultrasounds and a pelvic MRI were conducted. I apparently had a non functioning fallopian tube as well as a number of uterine fibroids, and endometriosis. I had no history of gynecological issues until last summer. All of this was unfamiliar territory. Dr. Oner informed me that Dr. Ascher-Walsh would be my surgeon as my particular case is his area of specialty. He gave me a thorough explanation of my diagnosis and upcoming procedure where he would remove my fallopian tube and the fibroids. He also answered all of my questions. He is extremely knowledgeable with a warm disposition. I was very comfortable with him and trusted everything would go well and it did. Being the skeptical New Yorker that I am, this is rare. Dr.Holtzman is also an exceptional resident. I was very impressed by her attentional to detail and her genuine interest in her patients. I had a great recovery with no gynecological complications. I am grateful for this team and their efforts to get me well.
