Michael E. Cobble, MD, is the director and a family practice physician at Canyons Medical Center in Sandy, Utah. Dr. Cobble sees each of his patients as important and unique individuals and provides them with personalized care that focuses on preventing disease and optimizing their health. The clinic goal is to discuss all treatment options and formulate a plan together with each individual.
Dr. Cobble graduated with honors from the family practice program medical school/residency at the University of Utah School of Medicine in Salt Lake City. Originally from Idaho, Dr. Cobble moved to Utah over 30 years ago. His specialties include primary care medicine, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, hypertension (high blood pressure), and the blood condition dyslipidemia.
Dr. Cobble is a diplomate of the American Board of Clinical Lipidology and a fellow of the National Lipid Association. He is a certified hypertension specialist with the American Society of Hypertension and a member of the American Academy of Family Practice, the National Lipid Association, the American Diabetes Association, and the American Heart Association
Alongside his work in clinical patient care, Dr. Cobble is engaged with clinical research and medical education, and he has published articles on topics such as pathophysiology and treatment of diabetes and dyslipidemia. He’s well-known throughout the local area as an outstanding physician and has been on the TV talk show, “The Doctors” the radio show “Green Tea and Honey” and the Medscape Dr. Harrington show (cardiologist Duke/Stanford). He also has a Master’s degree in psychopharmacology to help work with complicated mood and anxiety disorders.
When he’s not working, Dr. Cobble enjoys spending time with his family, biking, hiking along the trails of Park City, and skiing during the winter.
