Col. John McPhillips, DDS, MD, is a board-certified maxillofacial surgeon and dentist practicing at Bedford Associates in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, serving the communities of Bedford, Texas, and the other suburbs between Fort Worth and Dallas. Dr. McPhillips is committed to providing the best possible patient experience and outcomes. He uses state-of-the-art technology including i-CAT™ 3D imaging and Nobel Biocare® dental implants. Dr. McPhillips completed his undergraduate degree at Saginaw Valley State University in Saginaw, Michigan, before going on to earn his doctorate of dental surgery at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry in Detroit. After graduating in the top 10% of his dental school class, Dr. McPhillips joined the United States Air Force to serve his country while enhancing his knowledge of dentistry, and he completed his general practice dental residency at Barksdale Air Force Base in Louisiana. During his service, Dr. McPhillips discovered a passion for oral and maxillofacial surgery (OMFS). He started his OMFS training at Lackland Air Force Base’s Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio. While completing his OMFS residency, he also earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. He completed rotations in a wide range of surgical practice during his general surgery internship. Dr. McPhillips’ extensive training and experience enable him to provide complex facial surgery services and offer a comprehensive range of procedures including anesthesia administration, jaw surgery, tooth extractions, dental implants, sinus lifts, and bone grafts.
