Dr. Balog was drawn to interventional pain management when he saw how significantly it could change a patient’s life. He studied medicine at Semmelweis Medical University in Budapest, Hungary, completed his Internal Medicine residency at the Yale University-affiliated Greenwich Hospital and his Anesthesiology residency at the University of California-San Francisco (UCSF) Medical Center. He is a member of the Editorial Board for the official Journal of the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians (Pain Physician) and a recipient of the Fellowship of Interventional Pain Practice’s (FIPP) International Certification. Dr. Balog is frequently recognized as a top doctor in the field of interventional pain management. Originally from New England, Dr. Balog has called Portland, Oregon, home for the past 25 years.
