Dr. Balog has over 20 years of experience in the medical field. He is board certified in anesthesiology, pain management, and addiction medicine. Dr. Balog was drawn to interventional pain management when he saw how significantly it could change a patient’s life. He studied medicine at Semmelweis Medical University in Budapest, Hungary, completed his Internal Medicine residency at the Yale University-affiliated Greenwich Hospital and his Anesthesiology residency at the University of California-San Francisco (UCSF) Medical Center. He is a member of the Editorial Board for the official Journal of the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians (Pain Physician) and a recipient of the Fellowship of Interventional Pain Practice’s (FIPP) International Certification. Dr. Balog is frequently recognized as a top doctor in the field of interventional pain management. Originally from New England, Dr. Balog has called Portland, Oregon, home for the past 25 years.
