Anna Wegleitner, MD, grew up in west Texas and received her undergraduate degree from Baylor University and subsequently obtained her medical degree at the University of Texas Medical School in Houston. She came to Colorado for Residency training and Colorado won her heart! She set up private practice in Colorado and founded Mountain View Family Medicine in 1992 which continued until 2011 after which she joined Centura Health Physician’s Group. Ultimately, she moved her practice to Porter Primary Care in 2013.
Dr. Wegleitner is dedicated to individualized attention and extending a “listening ear” to all patients at a time when medical care has been driven to a frantic pace, modeled after factory production lines.
While meeting the needs of her longtime family practice patients, she has a special interest in providing competent gender affirming care for transgender individuals and is dedicated to creating a welcoming and accepting environment. Dr. Wegleitner is an active member of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH).
Dr. Wegleitner is also Diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine and a member of the AAFP (American Academy of Family Practice), Colorado Medical Society and Denver Medical Society. She holds an academic appointment of Associate Professor, Family Medicine at University of Colorado School of Medicine.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Wegleitner enjoys long walks with her dogs, camping and reading.
