Alison M. Dunn (Schmieder)
Alison M. Dunn, Esq. is an attorney with Weinberger Divorce & Family Law Group, who is licensed in both New Jersey and New York, having received her Juris Doctorate from William & Mary School of Law. While attending law school, Ms. Dunn served and as the Articles Editor for the William & Mary Bill of Rights Journal as a Graduate Research Fellow in the areas of Family Law and Therapeutic Jurisprudence. She also participated as an advocate for the Domestic Violence Clinic of the Legal Aid Society of Eastern Virginia providing legal services to local residents. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Dunn received a Bachelor of Science degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Pittsburgh.
Since her graduation from law school, Ms. Dunn has been solely dedicated to the practice of family and matrimonial law. In addition to representing clients in contested matters, Ms. Dunn is a qualified Family Law Mediator and provides mediation services to assist parties in reaching a mutual resolution of their family and matrimonial issues. Ms. Dunn is also trained in the alternative dispute resolution method of collaborative divorce, which better enables hereto avoid litigation through this non-adversarial settlement process.
Before entering private practice, Ms. Dunn served as a law clerk to the Honorable Michael Paul Wright, Superior Court of New Jersey, Family Part in Morris County.
