So, most grooming reviews are very positive. And they refer to small and toy breeds. Our Newfoundland came home yesterday after a $220.00 grooming with a couple of bushels of matted undercoat that I am still working on. His clipping is uneven on his legs and nonexistant on his head and ears. All Newfies love water and get matts as a result of cooling off in whatever water they find. Most groomers understand this about heavy -coated giant breeds. After 4 hours of standing, Sully can barely walk today. Although this is not good, it allows me to finish the grooming left undone. We are so disappointed after 1 month and $400.00 worth of fees, he looks so bad.
