PROTOGYM

This experience comes from me, a 6 month+ personal training client of the owner. He is an egomaniac that holds people down from their goals while emasculating people's presence on the regular. This includes slurs towards the client during paid training sessions (homophobic, ableist, boy, dog, calling active chemotherapy patients 'Sinead', women clients "hoes") and trying to be an unapologetic psychologist for his paying members. Clients deserve a baseline of respect while improving themselves towards their goals and the owner has expressed several times he "does not care" about this - he'd rather make himself feel better with slanders while applying his own goals to his clients. Recently other friends have left specifically due to his attitude and bad mouthing. My personal grievance is he has told other members that he has to "train this faggot" while knowing of my sexual preferences, as well as saying I hit like a "faggot" while training me Boxing - with no credentials to train anyone in any of the aforementioned. I have tried to address this attitude towards me and its often blamed on his upbringing and/or stress of running the business. This is clearly unacceptable for anyone in a position of power running an establishment like a gym.
