IM=X® is Pilates and Fitness Reinvented! IM=X® stands for Integrated Movement Xercize. Our studios offer premier instruction in pilates, barre, yoga, cycling, personal training and back wellness - all under one roof. Our workouts blend the muscle toning and lengthening benefits of pilates with elements of strength and cardio training to increase flexibility, endurance and muscle tone, while intensely strengthening the spine and core. IM=X® workouts incorporate the Xercizer (reformer), Tower, Ring, Weights, Jog Boards and Indoor Cycling Bikes - an innovative blend of many physical disciplines. The variations within IM=X® make it possible to address everyone from the “couch potato” to the professional athlete to the person with general back pain. IM=X® was developed by Elyse McNergney - certified in traditional pilates and the Alexander Technique with a M.A. in Movement Science from New York University and a M.Ed. in Exercise Physiology from Columbia University. Elyse’s years of experience and education led her to develop the IM=X® programs. The IM=X® Master Trainer team is committed to delivering our proprietary certification courses to all the staff of the IM=X® Pilates & Fitness franchise studios. Our unparalleled commitment to continuing education means that the workouts are never boring and always evolving. IM=X® develops strong hips and legs plus an extremely tough core. It produces total body tightening and rock-hard abs. Intensive endurance strengthening, cardio and stretching exercises create lean muscles and excellent posture while accelerating the metabolism and stabilizing the back. Our clients proclaim the powerful difference of IM=X® workouts and patented equipment.
