We are a Gracie Jiu-Jitsu & Self-Offense school located in Mooresville, NC. We first opened our doors in 2009. We continue to empowered students from all ages, physicality’s, skill levels and more. You’re going to learn authentic Gracie Jiu-Jitsu and Self-Offense from certified Gracie Jiu-Jitsu black & brown belts who were taught by Royce Gracie (UFC Champion & Hall of Fame Inductee) for over 14 years and 7th degree Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Corel Belt Luiz Palhares.

I thoroughly enjoy my weekly training session at Gracie LKN with Ranard each week. The facility is clean, the people are beyond welcoming and the lessons are well planned. I've recommended Gracie LKN to a number of friends and colleagues already. Can't beat it!

After attending various martial art schools and having formally trained myself, I highly recommend Gracie LKN. My son has been training for over a year. His confidence has improved greatly along with his physical abilities. Mr. Brown is a positive role model and has taught my son the true meaning of self-discipline.

Gracie Lake Norman is an amazing place. The amount of confidence that Ranard and the team have helped build on my 5 year old daughter is priceless. I won’t lie, starting out as a list 4 year old on the mat, there were A LOT of days where she would cry and not even want to get on the mat. The whole gym at one point helped not only get her on the mat, but also somehow that crying little girl would end those classes with the biggest smile on her face. Today, it’s a little bit of a different story as we have to bribe her to let go of the coach’s arm or leg at the end of class to go home. For the adult classes it’s hard to beat the value you get as there are classes what seems like everyday of the week! Adult classes include a group of the most approachable people around Mooresville it seems, and you will notice that there seem to be very little egos with anyone on the mat. Great group to learn and train with!

I have been attending Gracie Lake Norman for a little over 5 years. Great place to train. Great people to train with. I have learned a tremendous amount and enjoyed working out with my fellow students and trainers.

GLK Jiu Jitsu is an amazing experience for my son. In a very short time, he is learning so much! In addition to learning how to follow directions better and to perform the prescribed moves, he is obtaining practical skills that will help him the 3rd grade and later in life. He enjoys Coach Ranard’s playful style as well as all his new friends. We drive down from Statesville and pass many different places on our way to Mooresville but it is definitely worth the investment. We would totally recommend this establishment to any parents looking for an activity for their children that will teach them the art of Jiu Jitsu but also life skills.

Our son Hank has thoroughly enjoyed learning the basics of Jiu Jitsu from Coach Ranard and his entire family. His knowledge and love for the sport is being passed on to each student he encounters. Coach has incredible patience and seems to have fun as he teaches Jiu Jitsu, respect and many other life lessons in every class. We are very happy we discovered Gracie Lake Norman and look forward to growing and advancing together

Excellent program run by folks who are passionate about raising well rounded kids who can handle themselves in a fight as well as in life. The adult programs are excellent As well.

We absolutely love Gracie! All the instructors are professional, kind and caring. They address a child’s self-esteem, bullying, confidence, etc., as well as jiu jitsu physical skills. Highly recommend this business! One of the best decisions we’ve made for our child!
