Chief Freddie was a huge help in preparing for my upcoming LT promotional exam. His tips and knowledge of the process were a great asset and I feel ready for my Oral exam.

I did the Fire Assessment Center Prep with two coaching sessions. I work in a third service EMS and not a fire department. However, I feel this has prepared me well for the assessment center (AC). Prior to taking the Fire Assessment Center Prep, I felt confident in how I was going to preform in the AC. I had the mindset of "how do people even fail the AC? It's just speaking after all". I began to watch the videos and I was instantly humbled to say the least. The videos and the coaching pointed out how what I was going to say in my AC was not only completely disorganized-rambling-nonsense, but it would've caused me to fail. Like I said, I work for a third service EMS. If you're like me, most of the fire stuff is a foreign language, but you are there for the principles of the lesson and everything they're saying still applies. I have yet to take my AC, so I cannot attest to my success just yet, but I know of many other people in my department who not only scored well in the AC after using Fire Assessment Center Prep, but scored at the top of the promotion list. Personally, I feel that I KNOW I won't be told "better luck in two years". As for the coaching sessions. I can honestly say that this is what will set you apart from scoring well, to being number one on the promotion list. For you, that may be the difference between "congratulations" and "you might be promoted in a few months" or even "see you in two years". The coaching really smooths out the bumps and fills the gaps. This gives you a huge advantage over everyone else. I will say. The biggest thing you can do is, record and time yourself while incorporating in all of the steps, organization techniques, and tips from Fire Assessment Center Prep for each of the exercises in your AC. If I can paint a picture for you. The AC is the predator and you are the prey. Fire Assessment Center Prep makes YOU the predator and turns the AC into your prey, and the coaching sessions sharpens your hunting tools. In a metaphorical summary, you have the pieces to the puzzle. Fire Assessment Center Prep shows you not only how to put those pieces together, but also gives you the missing pieces and shows you which pieces don't belong.

This is my first promotional exam and feel much more prepared now. After watching the videos and working with Chief Gaffney I have a better idea as to what and how I need to prepare. I would have been shooting from the hip and gotten shot. Thanks.

I would like to thank Chief Freddy for his hard work and dedication that he gave to me while training for the promotional exam for the position of Sergeant at the Sheriff's Office. Due to Chief Freddy's commitment and hard work along with helping me reach the best of my ability I was able to score in the top five of the Sergeant's exam with a score of 100% on the assessment. Chief Freddy your dedication and professionalism along with your training style help me reach my goals to the best of my ability and again I would like to thank you.
