Casting Keepsakes and the Luna Bean brand are based in the United States. We were sisters caring for our new infants who started in a kitchen in 2002 while taking a leave of absence from our careers of biomedical engineering and accounting. Intrigued with life casting, yet not being able to find what we were looking for, we put together our own infant casting kit. From there, we have added various sizes and styles so that you too can create your own one-of-a-kind keepsake in the comfort of your own home.

We were skeptical that this would work on our first try, so we watched 2-3 videos and read the directions carefully -- and were thrilled with the results. Our hands came out in fine detail. When they are completely dry and sealed with clear acrylic they will make a great piece to display.

Everything was very easy to understand and complete and the finished product would have been amazing but we tried doing it with a 2 year old and a 3 week old!! So I am satisfied and see that it would have been amazing had all participants been able to listen and sit still lol.

We understand the situation you faced. Sometimes we suggest doing it in front of their favorite TV show to keep them occupied while things set up. You were quite ambitious with a 3 week old. :)

Thought I would do this for my sons this past christmas, each of us holding hands, turned out great. But in Feb this year I unexpectedly lost my youngest son and this is the best gift I have of him. It is a constant memory of him and look at it everyday.

I’m so thankful I ordered this kit! My husband fought stage 4 cancer a little over 4 years. We enjoyed making the cast together in February for our 25th wedding anniversary. That time & the keepsake are priceless to me! He passed away just a little over a month after we made it! Don’t hesitate if you’re thinking of getting a kit! Life’s too short!
